She attended Happy Valley Elementary, Stanley Intermediate, and Acalanes High School where she lettered in Soccer, Tennis, and Golf, and also served a leadership role in the environmental club and student government. Ashley moved back to Orinda in 2007 before moving to her current home in Lafayette in 2014.

Ashley lives with her husband, Lorne Smith, and two young girls on the same street where she grew up.  They enjoy walking the neighborhood and “The Res”, barbequing and relaxing outside with friends, and going into town for an early family dinner before putting the kids to sleep.  She remains active with the schools and community, happy to give back to the organizations that gave so much to her.
